#TodayAtApple With OMEEZ LOCKHART-JONES
“It all started in Tracy, CA…I didn’t think it was gonna be a big thing, until I picked up a camera and started shooting”. I was just a young kid from the bay taking pictures where I could and eventually it turned into a lifestyle. Now I’m here, still grinding hard and able to make a difference and influence others in visual art. I wanted to be able to bring my audiences artistic expression alive and get them into the process of photography through this course. In this course, we went over the importance and use of colors, textures, basic editing such as; contrast exposure, and overall picture composition. Each audience member was given an iPad and together we worked through the editing process on both Lightroom and VSCO. I wanted people’s takeaway from this experience to be that, anyone can do photography as long as they have a passion for it and enjoy it. “I don’t want people to think that because you don’t have the best equipment, you aren’t going to be a good photographer”. Whether you’re just starting out or are afraid to start because of the fear of “not being good enough”, you are in total control of your vision and storytelling.
